Class-Co-owner of a Lonely Heart CSP

Language
1) Narrative:Class starts by continuing the narrative ark as they show us the shadow king talking to his servant in his volcanic planet about how he will try to get his heart back by any means necessary, it then starts to juxtapose with earth and the volcanic planet showing April with two swords in her hands. Suddenly April becomes progressively more violent throughout the day, she challenges a teacher when they talk about the sacrifice soldiers made for us. Eventually Ram notices her random out breaks and confronts her-talking to her about what might be happening. Then Ram drives away from the school with April then after Ram and April chat to each other April's dad then appears in front of them and talks to his daughter. Frustrated, April slowly walks towards her dad with her swords in hand. After this he frantically runs away. As soon as this happens, the new head teacher-with a sinister smile, appears and tells them to go back to school. Then Ram goes to Aprils house with her mother talks to them about how irresponsible they were. Next the head teacher calls Ms Quill for a meeting to question her on what is happening and whether or not if she wants the creature prohibiting her actions to get out. Aprils father is then seen by the viewers following April to her house, he then talks to her and the mother about how sorry he is for everything hes done. Ram then tries to stop her from killing her father and succeeds. Prepared, April helps her mother to walk again and then creates a portal to the shadow kings world-leaping into it with Ram.

Character: April, Ram Singh (These are now the confirmed protagonists and they are both in a relationship), Tanya, Aprils mother,Charlie, (These characters help the cast through emotion support or there intelligence), Head Teacher, Shadow King, Ms Quill (They are both characters with some kind of malicious intent or doing things for there own wants and needs) and Aprils dad.

Iconography: Red Motif,Orange,Blue, Flower petals(Slowly increasing other the episode-possibly to show them getting more dangerous.), Wheel chair, Black Motif, non-diegetic sound(slows down narrative) and school bell (diegetic sound).

Setting: Volcanic Planet/Shadow World, Earth, School (familiar location), Head Teachers office, back garden.

2)The beginning of the episode is the equilibrium however it quickly changes to the disruption as the shadow king plots a way to get his heart back again. It turns to the recognition when April starts arguing with the teacher in a aggressive manor and Ram notices something is happening with her as she is acting extremely strange. The reparation is when Ram convinces April to not kill her father and gives her mother the ability to walk again which startles her. There isn't a new equilibrium as the episode ends with April going after the shadow king in his world leaving it on a cliff hanger-making the viewers wonder what happens next.

3)April would fit as the heroine as she gives her mum the ability to walk again, she is kind and is now equal to the the shadow king, Charlie would be considered the hero as he is helpful towards the cast and also protective when it comes to anyone, Ms Quill and Ram Singh should be known as a false hero as they are over confident but in certain circumstances they are able to be compassionate. Tanya would be known as a helper as she aids the main characters with her intelligence and observations. The villain of the show would be the shadow king as he repeatedly tries to destroy Ms Quill, Charlie and any person who gets in his way.

4) Some of the enigma codes in Co-owner of a Lonely Heart would be the shadow king trying to kill the cast through April as they share the same hearts. Another enigma code i have noticed is the flower petals that slowly spread throughout the show. In addition, the conflict between April and the Shadow King is an action code that would interest the audience of class, since it has been going on for a while and they are anticipated to fight each other eventually. Also who is the headteacher and what her motives and intentions for the cast.

5)Binary opposition can be seen a lot in Class co-owner of a lonely heart. Light V dark is shown with the struggle between April and Shadow king (Shadow king has a world enveloped in darkness which makes this idea more shown. Right V Wrong is shown in various of ways, Ms quill wants revenge on the shadow king for killing her species but charlie believes that genocide, even for revenge, is not the best thing to do against someone who already committed genocide.

Representation
1) In Class, gender stereotypes are almost entirely subverted. April is seen as the protagonist when she jumps through the portal to attack the shadow king, protagonists are not usually female characters. Tanya is shown as intelligent but likes to play video games for her own entertainment, stereotypically, this would not be expected from someone in the BAME community. Ram, is a sporty person that gets in a relationship with April, this mostly reinforces the stereotypical male character. Ms quill is a ruthless person that tries to get everything she wants through some kind of manipulation, this is not expected as usually females are shown as supporting, kind and selfless  yet she is the opposite to all of these. Charlie is a gay alien character who is the prince of his species, this subverts a lot of expectations as you wont see many types of characters like this. However shadow king reinforces most stereotypes for male characters as he is a vigorous yet independent character. In addition Class represents males as a supporting type of character in the show. Ram is a example of this, at the end of the episode Co-owner of a lonely heart he jumps after April already went through the portal, this could show how females are the more dominant type of character

2)Teenagers in Class Co-owner of a lonely heart are depicted as very identifiable to the audience. April, is seen at the start as a socially awkward person which can be seen as relatable for a lot of people who were/are in high school. Ram, is a typical character that likes sports and can be a egotistical. Tanya, is shown as an intellectual person that revises for most of the time shes at her own home. All of the characters parents are shown as overprotective and caring to the point where Rams father doesn't like the fact that he is going out with April. Furthermore, Tanya's mother makes her revise all the time because she wants her to do well in her class. However, Aprils father was shown as irresponsible and undependable when April needed her.

3)Class has a variety of different races and ethnicities represented in there show. E.g Tanya, she and her mother are shown in a some what stereotypical way as the mothers acts like most people would expect and Tanya is a character that subverts the stereotypes of a usual black female character. Ram Singh is seen as a person that subverts a lot of stereotypes for Sikhs as he is a sporty character who unexpectedly goes against his own parents. Charlie and Ms Quill both subvert all expectations as Charlie is a gay person that has a relationship with another person in the show, this is not something that the audience would predict to happen when seeing charlie, Ms Quill also subverts anything people would expect when seeing her.

4)In class sexuality is shown in multiple ways. April and Rams relationship grows other time and is shown as a typical relationship. Although April and Rams parents do not like the idea of them together they still continue anyway, also April and Rams association is meant to be relatable to the audience because the relationship between charlie and his boyfriend is not something that is seen/shown in everyday life/TV shows.

5)Disability is only shown through Aprils mother as she is in a wheel chair. She is mainly seen as weak and defenseless for an example, when April was about to kill her father, the mother was helpless to stop her in anyway. However, she can be seen as a powerful figure in Aprils life even though she is disabled.

Audience
1) The first episode of class was the most successful out of all of the other episodes. Co owner of a lonely heart was the 7th most viewed episode.

2)The psychographic group that might enjoy class would be an aspirer because of the supernatural and scientific factor of the show like the shadow king and the portals in the school that leaves a beacon in space and time.

3)Class offers personal identity by giving the characters a relatable situation, whether in there family or there relationship problems. April would be the most relatable character as she has a big personal problem with her father and has a relationship in high school.
It also offers relationships as Ms Quill, who is perceived as a heartless character has a reason as her entire species were killed off except for her and Charlie, this would make the audience sympathize with Ms Quill.
Diversion is also offered as they show us a place called the shadow world which is volcanic.
They offer a lot of surveillance as they teach the audience how the portals work in the show.

4)In my opinion, visceral pleasure would be the main thing that applies towards class. This is because they have many characters to relate to in the show.

5)The people in the comment section believed that the main antagonist is a way to stereotypical villain for a show that likes to subvert stereotypical things.

Industry
1) BBC3s objective was to provide an "innovative programming to a target audience of viewers between 16 and 34 years old."

2)The BBC3 went online only because they realised there target audience may go onto television at different times so it was better and smarter to just send it online. Also because they use devices instead of watching TV a lot of the time.

3)Class informs the audience on how shadow king and Aprils heart are connected. It educates the consumer on how the portals in the universe of Class work and it also entertains the audience by giving several enigmas in the show like the mystery of the box in charlies house.

4)Class was only distributed online which meant that not many people even had known about the show in the first place, but it was then shown weeks later in a late night slot (also known as the graveyard slot) which meant most people, especially their target audience, wouldn't know about its existence

5)Class was mainly marketed online and was highly intractable but this wasnt enough to show enough people that might want to watch this show as it wasnt even know.

Doctor Who- An Unearthly Child

Language

1) Narrative: The show starts with the two teachers-Ian Chester and Barbara Wright, in a school talking about a strange student called Susan. They mention how intelligent she is in both history and science so they decide to talk to her. Before they confront her Susan listens to music with a radio moving her hands with strange gestures until the teachers open the door. After this Barbara Wright convinces Ian to investigate where Susan lives. Eventually, they wait in a car at Susan's address to find out where she lives exactly. Once they see her walk into a junk yard they follow her and notice many strange things like mannequins, pictures and after a while they stumble upon a police box where they also meet the doctor that regards them as stupid and foolish. Promptly, Barbara and Ian shove there way into the police box and see Susan inside, next the Doctor believes that Barbara and Ian are not trust worthy so he sends them to another location. (possibly in the past)

Characters: Susan Foreman, The doctor,(They are seen as the knowledgeable characters as they know more then any of the cast)Ian Chester and Barbara Wright.(They represent the audience as they are less knowledgeable when it comes to the technology/science of the show)

Iconography: Diegetic sound, non-Diegetic sound, police box(TARDIS), Buttons, Car,futuristic lights, optical illusions.

Setting: Class Room, junk yard, car (interior), TARDIS, Unknown area(deserted and abandoned)

2) The equilibrium of an unearthly child is in the opening scene where you see all of the adolescents  having a usual day at school, it quickly turns to the disruption when Ian Chester and Barbara Wright start to talk about there concern about a student called Susan Foremen, after they talk to her they follow her and eventually it changes to recognition when they follow Susan and realize that she is only smart in certain subjects like science and history but terrible at things like math and English, further, more it is when they meet the doctor. After this the Doctor believes that he must get rid of Ian Chester and Barbara Wright, this becomes the reparation as the doctor wants to fix Susan's mistake of leading them to the TARDIS. Their isn't a new equilibrium however they leave the first episode as a cliff hanger to make the viewers curious about what will happen.

3)The Doctor would fit into the false hero as he is a arrogant character that doesnt like humanity and would rather satisfy his curiosity then help people, however he might not fit into any category of propps theory as he can be cruel yet helpful. Susan Would be a heroine as she is a heroic character and is innocent in the narrative. Barbara Wright would be the hero as was the one who addressed her concern to Ian Chester which made them investigate. The helper would be Ian Chester as he aids in finding Susan.

4)In an unearthly child the enigma codes I can find are the alien at the end of the episode who is only shown as a shadowy figure and also how the TARDIS functions.

5)There is some binary opposition shown in Doctor Who for an example. Light V dark is shown in the show when London is shown as gloomy while the the TARDIS is shown as light and futuristic.
Youth V Age is also shown when u see the contrast between the Doctor and Susan (the Doctor is old and Susan is young). Right V Wrong is also shown when we see that the doctor wants to dispose of the teachers while Susan wants them to stay and also so she can stay in that time.

Representation

1) Some of the stereotypes that are reinforced for men are that they are protective and less emotional. The Doctor doesn't care about the teacher safety or well being at all and Ian Chester needed to be convinced to go with Barbara to investigate about Susan, however the Doctor is shown to care about Susan as he didn't want them going inside the TARDIS and Ian Chester in the end went to go help Barbara find out more about Susan.
Some of the stereotypes that are subverted for men is that they are physically strong. Ian and the Doctor both are more intellectual then they are brutes as Ian is a teacher of science and the Doctor is an alien who has gained extra terrestrial knowledge.

2)Some of the stereotypes that are reinforced for women are that they are caring and intelligent.
Susan and Barbara are caring characters as Susan wanted to make sure the teachers weren't harmed by the Doctor and Barbara was concerned with Susan
Some of the stereotypes that are subverted for women is that they are unconfident and weak.
Susan is becomes really outspoken when the doctor decides to get rid of them and Barbara persuades Ian into helping her.

3)Old people are seen as seen wise and and all knowing and this is reinforced in an unearthly child as the Doctor is shown exactly like this as he is arrogant about his knowledge.
Young people are seen as foolish and irresponsible, this is subverted in an unearthly child as Susan is shown as polite and timid.

4)Every character is seen as white and no other ethnicity. This is probably because other ethnicities had a very low social class at the time so they probably wouldn't be a teacher, a doctor nor a student.

5)An Unearthly child shows us normal social classes, for E.g teachers with a male person teaching science and a female teacher (the more traditional teacher) teaching history. Furthermore an old man as a Doctor is seen as a little traditional.

Audience

1) Doctor Whos target audience would be for people aged 10+ or are interesting in Science Fiction and it has changed a lot since 1963 as they take on a little more adult themes.

2)The psychographic Doctor Who is looking for would be people with an interest in science and history.

3) The audience pleasures for Doctor Who are: Personal Identity: Some people will be able to relate to Susan Foreman as she is an outsider compared to the other students. Surveillance: The doctor educates the audience and Ian Chester about how the TARDIS works but in a complicated fashion. Diversion: The TARDIS is able to send the doctor and his companions to any time or place which isn't possible in the real world. Personal Relationships: Susan Foreman has problems with her grandfather which some people may be able to relate to.

4)Another audience pleasure which would effect people in 2018 would be nostalgia as this is the first episode of a show that has continued for several years.

5)A audience pleasure that can be applied to doctor who would be vicarious pleasures as it makes us experience something that we haven't seen before. Additionally it gives us information about how there world works and functions.

Industries

1)BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) was the oldest national broadcaster and was made to provide information.  There were 3 channels in 1963.

2)Doctor Who is the most important franchise to the BBC because it is the most iconic show/series they have not to mention it generates huge income for the BBC.

3)The BBC informs us on the general world of Doctor Who and how it works. It also educates us on history and the science of how everything works. Lastly, it entertains us by showing us unique ideas and characters.

4)The BBC is funded by its fee payers rather then sponsorship

5)OFCOM is the one to regulate the BBC and the water shed is a time where there are shows and films which are more explicit words and more gruesome violence.

Statement Of Intent LR

The title of my TV show is Shifter, it’s about a person called James who wants to become a reporter, he is told by his friend Kaz that there is rumours the experiment his father was working on has escaped and now it is creating trouble in their neighbourhood. Eventually the protagonist meets the cryptic creature but the screen turns to black before we find out what it did.
James is the protagonist of the story and his friend is the donor as he gives him the information about his father and the experiment is the antagonist.

The Equilibrium will be in the beginning when they are talking to each other but it will quickly switch to the disequilibrium when Kaz talks about the experiment escaping the laboratory and than it proceeds to follow James all the way to his garden.
It will start with the two boys talking in the park referencing other Sci-Fi shows like stranger things and the flash. In the middle of the episode James will be walking down the street being trailed by a shadowy figure.

In the TV show while James is walking down the road he will put head phones on and will listen to some diegetic sound while the experiment is following him, also there will be non-diegetic sound near the end to increase tension between the two characters, the sound will subvert the conventions of a Sci-Fi TV show as it wont have anything like dub-step.
At the end James will be in a garden about to call someone but then the door opens slowly, this raises the
tension for James and the viewer as they do not know whether or not it is wind or the creature Kaz was talking about.

I will use a variety of camera shots like a long shot of the antagonist’s back, this will provide a feeling of mystery around the character and also I will use an extreme close up of the James phone near the ending scene this is too make the audience wonder what happened to him or whether he died or not, thus creating suspense and a rise in fear which leaves the audience wanting to find out more.
The narrative enigma of the show is who the shapeshifter originally was and why it is targeting James specifically. This TV show will reinforce the stereotypes of a Sci-Fi TV show as the father of James will be a scientist that was working on an experiment but it will also subvert some stereotypes as James doesn't dress like someone who is the son of a scientist.

To show that the TV show has a family audience there will be jokes that children might know as they will be references to mainstream shows but it will have a mysterious and dark vibe with it that might catch some of the adult’s attention also the audience of the Shifter would most likely like Stranger Things and doctor Who.
The costume James will wear is a white shirt with a coat, to indicate he also knows a lot about science, Kaz will be wearing a red jacket and a baseball hat. Also the show will be shot in the day time. The only props that will be in the show will be a basketball which is only in Kaz’s hands and a phone which James uses.
There will be 3 locations in the 2 minutes of the TV show and in total there are 2 actors in the show myself and my brother who will also be the Shapeshifter.

Point Of View Shot-  This shows the perspective of the monster that is following James as he goes through the garden gate.

Sci-Fi TV Show Statement of intent

The title of my TV show is Shifter, its about a person called James who wants to become a reporter, he is warned by his friend Kaz that there is rumors of some kind of experiment that has went wrong with the experiment his father was working on and now it is creating trouble in their neighbourhood. Eventually James comes face to face with the mysterious monster and it tells him that it will ruin his life in any way possible to get revenge for what his father did.
It will start with the two boys talking in the park referencing other Sci-Fi shows like stranger things and the flash. In the middle of the episode James will be walking down the street being followed by a shadowy figure.
At the end James will be in a garden about to call someone but than the door opens slowly, this raises the tension for James and the viewer as they do not know whether or not it is wind or the creature Kaz was talking about.

In the TV show while James is walking down the road he will put head phones on and will listen to some diegetic sound while the experiment is following him, also their will be non-diegetic sound near the end to increase tension between the two characters. I will use a variety of camera shots like a long shot, medium shot, close up, medium close up, low angled shots and a wide shot.Their will be 3 locations in the 2 minutes of the TV show.
The narrative enigma of the show is who can James trust in his life as anyone could be the shape shifter and he needs a way to find out how to trap it as well. This TV show will reinforce the stereotypes of a Sci-Fi Tv show as the father of James will be a scientist that was working on a experiment.

To show that the TV show has a family audience there will be jokes that children might know but it will have a mysterious and dark vibe with it. The audience of the Shifter would most likely like Stranger Things and the flash.

The costume James will wear is a white shirt with a coat, to indicate he also knows a lot about science, Kaz will be wearing a red jacket and a baseball hat. Also the show will be shot in the day time. The only prop that will be in the show will be a basket ball which is only in Kaz hands.

The Equilibrium will be in the beginning when they are talking to each other but it will quickly switch to the disequilibrium when Kaz talks about the experiment escaping the laboratory and following James all the way to his garden.

James is the protagonist of the story and his friend is the donor as he gives him the information about his father and the experiment is the antagonist as he is in the protagonists way.
In total there 2 actors in the show these are myself and my brother.

Summer Research Project

Dr Who
Narrative:The story starts off with a girl that jumps out of some objects, the atmosphere is mysterious and the audience don't know a lot about whats happening. This would be the equilibrium of the story. Than as the little girl opens the cube and saves her future self, one of the antagonists appears and confronts them but the doctor appears and helps them to escape. This would be the disequilibrium.

Character: At the start we are introduced to a younger version of Amy pond who walks through the museum, their is a cloud of mystery on to why she is in this exact location,.the older Amy pond is trapped in a cube, both of these characters would be considered helpers/sidekicks.
The Doctor is the protagonist of the story and he makes the audience feel relief when he appears out know where to save both of the Amy ponds.
The dalek is the antagonist, its entrance surprises the audience as the museum was very quiet before.

Iconography: The costume the doctor uses is an iconic coat from the series, it also makes it easier to recognise who the doctor is in the show. The lighting in the clip was mainly a dark blue light emitting from the cube which is to show that it is a sci-fi show. The actors in the show are the most recognisable as they have been in the show for a long period of time.

Setting:The setting is in a dark museum that gives the audience a sense of mysteriousness as a gigantic cube is in the centre and the audience doesn't know why it is in this place specifically...

Humans
Narrative:The story is about people buying robots to help them with there daily life except the robots are malfunctioning, most of the robots aren't trusted by people as they have no emotion. The story splits between 4 different people, 1 person lives their family and the robot seems to always be watching them. Also the show goes over the problems with creating machines and allowing them to be with us in our daily lives, for an example the robots may take over as we are inferior to them.

Character:The first robot seems to be a care taker and it brings uncertainty to the mother of the family as the robot is shrouded in mystery. Another person seems to have a father and son relationship with a a robot and the robot seems to be malfunctioning.
The robots in this show reinforce stereotypes as the robots are emotionless and the way they run and walk is stiff.

Iconography:The robots have contact lenses, this makes the robots look a lot more recognizable and distinct from the other characters. The actors in the show also act emotionless to give the impression of being robots.

Setting:The show is set in the near future where robots have been made to help humanity. Since it is set in the near future it sought of fits into a stereotypical sci fi. However the robots are usually in house environments which goes against the stereotypical sci fi areas.

2) Question 9: Lara Croft is a good role model as she has the the conventional hero features like skill and courage, she also doesn't reinforce stereotypes unlike most female characters, for an example she is a female protagonist that isn't a support character nor is she a love interest or even a damsel in distress. However she does reinforce some stereotypes as she can be seen as a sex object, this is because her body features are exaggerated.
Kim Kardashian is a positive role model for women as she proves that women can be powerful and successful, she also gives inspiration to teenage girls. However she can be a negative role model as she is predominantly interested in fashion like a stereotypical woman meaning she reinforces certain stereotypes.

3) Question 10: Zoella is a prosumer that makes YouTube video. The ways in which new, net based technologies have enabled producers to target consumers in different ways, for instance through collaborations between social media starts and producers(product placement/product endorsement) e.g super drug and Zoella.
The ability of the audience to interact with producers through engaging with their social media accounts(Twitter, instagram, snapchat). Gives a more personal insight but is manufactured by the PR  company/celebrity themselves to give a certain view of them.

1)Zoella makes money through various ways. One of the ways is through her pre-roll adverts, her books, her own beauty range, vlog tour

2)A digital influencer is a producer/prosumer who is able to make their audience more interested into a certain product.

3)People want to place their products in Zoellas videos because they know a lot of people watch her videos so if they make Zoella advertise their video, a lot more people would most likely buy that product.

4)The reason Youtube collaborations are important is because it gives for both the youtube channels a chance to expand even more as it is usually a popular thing to do as it merges both audiences together.

5)Zoella has moved to a more traditional media landscape as she has been seen on TV shows like Loose Women and also she has her own beauty range.

Audience
1)Zoellas target audience is female 9 - 18 year olds as she talks about stuff like makeup and things like puberty or things that teenagers go through

2)The audience is encouraged to buy her products so they can become apart of her brand and then can comment on her videos to give their input.

3)The audience pleasures she gives the audience are division as the audience break away from their life to hear more about zoellas. The audience also builds a personal relationship with zoella as she tells people about her life and what she struggles with which allows the audience to relate to them.

4)The preffered reading for Zoella would be that: Zoella is a relatable person that gives teenagers advice that helps them in their daily life.
The oppositional reading is: Zoella is a irresponsible person who children and teenagers shouldn't look up to as she was filming and driving at the same time.

5)Zoella has been criticised by people because she is a bad role model, this is shown as she makes it seem that the most important thing for female teenagers is their beauty and femininity. Also she is able to influence the teenagers into buying products which is very manipulative. Another reason is that she charged £50 for a calendar that was in poor quality.

Representation
1)I believe Zoella is still a positive role model for teenagers this is because she helps them with problems that teenagers go through as she Is able to relate towards us with our everyday problems. Also she inspires other people to go on digital platforms and make vlogs.

2)The representation of women provided by women is that they are mostly into their own beauty and they need to be in a relationship with someone all the time.

3)The representation she gives for celebrities is that celebrities are just average people and that anyone can become a celebrity with dedication.

4)Zoella represents erself as a relatable joyful person that helps people in numerous ways, she gives advice about school and problems that many people go through but dont know what to do or think. She is relatable as she goes through relationship problems and other things like anxiety.

5)Zoella is a stereotypical woman as she focuses on her beauty rather than other important things as it is her main focus on her YouTube channel.

CSP Kim Kardashian Hollywood

Language

1)The objective of playing the Kim Kardashian Hollywood game is to go from being unlisted/Z list to a A list.

2)An A list celebrity is a celebrity who is known by a lot of people, they are recognised easily by most people.

3)To download the game all you need to do is to go onto the app store, type the game in and than lastly you press download.

4)The narrative of the Kim Kardashian game is that the avatar is a z list who has to get to a list by dating celebrities, going to concerts and also doing modelling with the guidance of Kim Kardashian.
The game is set in Hollywood.

5)The character you play as is a avatar who you can customise their look. The characters you can interact with are Kim, Khloe, Kendal, Kourtney, Kylie, Kris etc.

Audience

1) I think the intended audience in the Kim Kardashian game is 10 to 18 year old's, this is because teenagers are more engaged with anything to do with celebrities than most elders.

2) One of the audience pleasures for the Kim Kardashian game is diversion, the audience wants to go away from their normal life style and see what its like to be a celebrity by playing this game. Another is personal relationships, the audience may be big fans of the Kardashians so they may want to see what it would be like to be friends with Kim Kardashian or dating a celebrity. Also personal identity is a another of their pleasures. This is because they may want to be a celebrity in real life, date a celebrity or be close friends with the Kardashians. Lastly they may find surveillance enjoyable as well although not as much as the rest. One reason is that the audience might want  to know what Kim Kardashian acts like or see through the perspective of a celebrities life.

3)I think the game may be addictive to some as the game gives you the life of an A list celebrity giving the audience a fantasy that maybe they could become a huge celebrity themselves. Also they used Kim Kardashian as the title which will attract many consumers to the product.

4)One reason James Liu thinks that the Kim kardashian game is successful is because of the brands name, "Kim Kardashian" which will attract her fans and other people who recognise the name, so they would probably become intrigued with a game named after her. Another reason that he thinks the Kim Kardashian game is successful is because of the world they built in the game, the world is distinctive but also tied in with the real world which  also makes the fantasy of being a celebrity more believable.

5)People keep coming back to the game because of many things, one reason is that new things will be added to the game, like cosmetics or new events for them to get specific items which you can only get if you were their at that specific time. Another reason is that their isn't really an end to the game which makes it more different compared to a lot of games today, this is because even when your in the A list their are still people more famous so the game makes you strive to get to the top.

Representations

1) The representation of women is that are powerful and charming as in the game they can get away with things just by flirting, also they can be seen as a sex object because the females bodies are over exaggerated.

2)In the game ethnicity is shown a lot through the game and you can see a lot of different kinds of people but when it comes to gender the game does show men but not as much as women.

3)The game reinforces stereotypes because it makes women focus on their looks and the only job you can get in the game is modelling. The game subverts stereotypes because it makes it seem like anyone can become a celebrity with guidance and practice.

4)The game suggests that in our modern day society anyone who is in close contact or is helped by a celebrity has a chance to become more famous with dedication and that anyone can become famous as well with certain career choices.

5)Someone may criticise the life of a celebrity because they portray them as the perfect person and a little bit narcissistic as the game makes do various things just to get more followers so you can become more known in the world and reach NO.1 in the A list.

Industries

1)Kim kardashian Hollywood is free.

2)The game makes money through micro transactions like energy and 3 types of subscriptions (Gold, Silver and bronze)

3)The subscriptions available are Gold:49.99 USD Silver:19.99 USD and Bronze: 4.99 USD.

4)It was promoted on Kim kardashians twitter account and it can come out in a advert.

5)The Kim kardashian game is promoted by it being talked about in the show so viewers who dont know about the game will find out, the game also references the show in certain parts of the game. Also on social media Kim kardashian talks to her millions of viewers about the Hollywood game.

Lara Croft Go Video Game Case study

Language
1) Lara Croft is a archaeologist who finds mystical artefacts in tombs, forests, etc. She was first introduced in 1996.

2)The classic film that influenced Lara croft is Indiana Jones.

3)Lara Croft and Tomb Raider have moved on from just being a video game by going on to make films about the game itself.

4)You can play Lara Croft go on your phone and a tablet.

5)Lara croft go is a turn based platformer game.

6)The narrative for tomb raider is that she goes around through various islands to find treasure or mystical artefacts, in Lara Croft Go she is looking for a artefact but the queen of venom stopped her and left her in a cave.

7)Some of the iconography in Lara Croft Go is that their is collectables supporting the idea of the Lara Croft being a archaeologist also their is a journal to support this even further.

8) Most of the enemies are spiders and snakes, but their is a boss character that is called the queen of venom.

9)In Lara Croft Go the setting changes to a cave, ruins or even a jungle. This is very similar to Tomb raider where Lara Croft is usually on a unknown island or in a far away land where she faces the same environments.

10)The character Lara Croft has evolved from being a character on video games being a male fantasy to being a reality in a live action movie.

Representation
1)Women in video games are usually represented as support characters who help the protagonist in their journey or they can be a damsel in distress that the protagonist needs to save. Another way they are used in video games is as a love interest.

2)One reason Lara Croft reinforces feminine stereotypes is that her body features can be over exaggerated in some of her games. Also she seems to be designed in a certain way for a male audience rather than trying to appeal to the female audience.

3)One reason Lara Croft subverts feminine stereotypes is that she is the main protagonist and not a support character nor a damsel in distress also she is a able to defend for herself making her an empowering heroine.

4)Some people think the video gaming industry is sexist because their main target audience is usually only males. Another reason is that they make characters like Lara Croft appealing to males to attract a wider majority of players.

5)I believe that Lara Croft is a empowering feminist icon as she subverts a lot of the stereotypes about girls/women in video games. Some of the ways she subverts these stereotypes is by being the main protagonist and not a support character, another way is by being strong and independent as women are usually damsels in distress in video games.

Industry
1)PEGI stands for Pan European Game Information

2)PEGI is a video game rating system which helps to make it easier for the consumer to make more informed decisions like whether or not you should buy the 18 rated game.

3)Lara Croft Go is created by square Enix

4)The two franchises combined that made Lara Croft Go is Hit man Go and Tomb Raider.

5)The tomb raider movie and hit man go is also part of the tomb raider franchise.

Audience
1)A audience might like playing Lara Croft Go because it is a strategic game,it has platforming and acrobatics and also your able to find collectables.

2)Someone will probably play Lara Croft Go when they are waiting for something like a bus or a train, they will most likely play this game in the morning as it is a slow and easy game.

3)They made Lara Croft appealing to the audience by exaggerating her body features and also that she is full animated.

4)in the blumer and Katz theory I believe that diversion is apart of the Lara croft go franchise as it brings players to unknown places with a lot of creatures like spiders however Lara croft is a archeologist so it doesn't fully separate you from the world, also personal relationship could be apart of Lara croft go as some people see Lara croft as a sex object even though she isnt real. Lastly surveillance ties into Lara croft go as Lara croft is a archeologist which is a real life job that some people might be interested in because of this game.

5)Their main target audience is the consumers who have already played other Lara Croft/Tomb Raider games the Lara Croft Go will give them a sense of nostalgia, another one of their target audiences is the consumers that liked the Hit Man Go game. Also they target audience is the consumers who like feminine empowerment. Lastly their is the consumers that want to see innovative game play.

magazine and advertising assessment learner response

                                                                                                                                         mark= 16/30

1)Feedback: LR=Give specific examples of how tatler magazine persuades audience- see blog post revise this in the future.
Give more examples about each CSP for longer questions and comment using more media terminology for example Galaxy CSP could of mentioned todorov's narrative theory or propp's character theory. WWW. great analysis of how NHS blood campaign subverts/reinforces stereotypes of representation. understanding of how modern audiences may view 1950s print advert of OMO.

2) Q1: 1/1
    Q2: 1/1
    Q3: 3/8
    Q4: 2/2
    Q5: 5/6
    Q6: 4/12

3)Title of publication and the slogan

4)Tatler persuades their audience using,
Language: It will be snappy and "economical", with no wasted unnecessary words.
Direct address: Magazine covers frequently address their readers as "YOU" as if they were in             direct communication with them.
   Reveal  persuades their audience using,
price:They show 99p at the top left in the corner to show that its cheap.
Colour scheme: The colours reveal uses are bright and glamorous like pink red and white

5)One person who is famous in the NHS blood campaign is Kanya king who subverts the stereotype that women cant be a CEO or involved in business. Nicola Adams subverts the stereotype that women cant be strong by being a boxer. Lastly Ade Adepitan subverts the stereotype that if your disabled you cant do anything active yet he is a basket ball player.

6)The representation of women in the OMO advert is that women are housewives that only support men. They are also shown to enjoy their cleaning, cooking, etc. They treat the women almost like children as shown when it says "Actually Bright".

The representation of women in a galaxy advert is that they are treated like celebrities, glamorous and as a damsel in distress or as a heroine. She than becomes powerful and takes control as she takes the bus drivers hat and walks into the back of the mans car rather than sitting with him in the front seat.

The representation of women in the NHS campaign is that they are talented,  independent mentally and physically strong. This has changed the normalised stereotypes of women, we can see this as it is led by a female performer, black and asians are shown boxing leading companies as a CEO.

Introduction to video games

1) The first video games had low graphics and were a lot more simple compared to the the quality now.

2)The video games evolved by adding colour usually making the games 3D and the graphics of the games got a lot better.

3)The most successful games all usually don't have the best graphics and the game is also simple compared to others. Also they usually are more creative, for an example mario, sonic and the wii games.

4)Some of the criticisms towards video games is that games can be too "realistic" gory or not age appropriate, these might make children act violently. Also it may be too addicting and may make the person unsociable.

5)Fortnite is a mass online brawl between 100 players in a small island. They scavenge for weapons, like guns and grenades, items like shield potions and chests, than they fight till the last person standing. It is developed by epicgames.

6)Their is 3.5 million players world wide in fortnite

7)One of the pleasures is that its colorful and bright making it a lot more aimed at children also the game is free which makes it easily accessed by anyone whether or not they have money. Another pleasure is how they have customization and dances which support the game being bright.

8)  "It is proving far more addictive than any other game" i agree with this comment as although it may not have as much content as other games, this game attracts players easily as it has no cost, its bright, cheerful and also is something everyone is talking about so it is easy too fall into the trend.

"Computer games represent everything wrong with society." I disagree with this statement as computer games like fortnite can help children with their strategical intelligence, cooperation and even hand eye coordination.

Galaxy 'Chauffeur' advert

1)Audrey Hepburn was a fashion and icon in Hollywood she associated herself with Hollywood in between the 1950s to the 1960s she died at 63 in 1993.

2)They created a CGI Audrey Hepburn for this advert because she was a icon in the old days, they used it so they could connect with elderly people with nostalgia.

3)Audrey Hepburn connotes as feminine beauty and nostalgia

4)The reason this is set in the 1950s is because Audrey Hepburn was a celebrity than and she was associated with Hollywood also it grants the audience a feeling of nostalgia.

5) Intertextuality is when a media text references or goes to another media text.

6)The film that may have been referenced was the Roman Holiday this is evident through its old fashioned style to give a feeling of nostalgia.

7)Some of props character types in this advert is the protagonist, the heroine and the donor.

8)This follows Todorovs theory of equilibrium as the equilibrium is how they are on the bus and nothing is happening, the disequilibrium is how the fruits fell onto the streets so now the road is blocked and the new equilibrium is how the man invites Audrey into the car and they drive past the fruits on the street.

9)The representations of women in this is that they are empowered as when she goes with the man acting as a chauffeur, she sits at the back, she doesn't sit next to the man making him be seen as inferior and the woman seems to have more class.

10)One way the advert reinforces stereotypes is by making the protagonist (the driver) save the heroine by giving her a ride so she can avoid the fruits on the street. However they subvert stereotypes by making Audrey not sitting in the front with the driver.

extension task

Omo Makes women look and act inferior to women compared to men, Galaxy has empowered Audrey Hepburn by showing her superiority as everyone seems to love her.

NHS Blood Campaign

1) BAME stands for Black, Asian minority ethnicity.

2)Their is a need for blood in the BAME community because their has only been 3% ethnic minorities giving blood to the NHS.

3)They want every one to donate some blood to the NHS especially the ethnic minorities and youngsters.

4)Its because the ethnic majority compared to the ethnic minority is 97% and the ethnic minority has 3%, and we should represent our ethnicity and donate more blood.

5)The reason they have chosen BAME celebrities specifically is because it helps the audience to connect with the celebrity as it is someone from their own community who is talking about why the ehtnic minorities don't donate blood. One of the celebrities is lady Leshurr who also connects to them through rap music as most  people would find it more entertaining to do this rather than to give a lecture to the ethnic minorities.

6)The reason their is a slow paced long shot of the chair in the middle with no one sitting in it is because it is meant to represent how their are ethnic minorities giving their blood and how they need someone to sit in that chair and give their blood to the people who need it which is NHS. Also their is three chairs to represent the 3% of ethnic minorities that are donating their blood to NHS.

7)One of the key conventions it contains which are within a rap song is the rapid shots of her rapping in other locations and with some of the people staring straight at the camera from low angled shots like at 0:36. Also the music video has a narrative inside it  where lady leshurr talks about all the possible things you could be, but you could also donate blood.

8)One of the ways they subverted stereotypes is how at 0:25 in the video it shows a women with short hair and boxing, this goes against the stereotype that women cannot be strong/fight and also the women has short hair to make herself look more masculine.
Another way they subverted stereotypes is by making the black man at 1:00 wear a suit and tie looking like a business man which isn't something you would expect to see as stereotypes try to go against a black person being a business man.

9)The advert reinforces some stereotypes for an example at 1:08 the footballer is a black male, this makes it seem like only males can be footballers and be acknowledged for being one. Another way they reinforce stereotypes is with lady lehurr herself, she reinforces the stereotype that all black people are rappers.

10)The key scene I have chosen is at near the end at 1:15 where their is a zooming long shot of 3 chairs. The zooming in on the chairs effect represents how important it is for the ethnic minorities to share their blood. The chairs represent how their is only 3% of the ethnic minorities donating blood. Their is only 3 chairs in this scene this is semiotic because it questions us with why ethnic minorities aren't donating.      The lighting in this is bright and specifically only on the 3 chairs, the setting is in a    NHS donation centre.

broad cast adverts (like a girl and impossible is nothing)

1) The key conventions I can see in the advert are: Original concept, narrative, mise-en-scene, camera shots(close ups, long shots etc), sound(the music would get louder once the person starts talking which makes it even more emotional), the call to action, the logo and the slogan. 7/8

2)The first text that appears onto the screen is 0:04. most of the text try to engage with the audience and give them more information on the topic like at 1:25 where they tell us that "A girls confidence plummets after puberty."

3)Their is 12 people in the Always advert

4)The producers decided to have a range of different people, ages and ethnic groups because it allows them to show a lot more opinions from completely different people which gives them more of an understanding on the topic. For an example the boy at 1:10 believes he isn't doing anything wrong but than changes his mind after a few seconds while other people stick to their opinion on the matter.

5)The music helps bring out more emotion as it goes louder with the persons speech at 2:22 this makes anything and everything she says in the advert a lot more dramatic giving more of an emphasis on her speech.

6)Some of the key conventions I can find at 3:08 is the call to action, the logo and slogan these encouraged the advert to go viral as it allows a link straight to Twitter and to Always.com to spread it encouraging even more by making it easier for the person.

7)The representation of women in this advert is that they can be so much more than what people see them as and that they all strong  do not need to follow the stereotypes set out for them. Also they can do anything they believe in.

8)I think the advert connected with the audience successfully because of how they had shown a different side to the argument and tried to connect with the audiences emotions by using music and making the music increase in volume as their speeches continue. Also I think that it connected with the audience by it's varied ethnic groups and ages which will relate to a lot of people watching the advert whether they are young, old or a different race it still connects to you in some way.

Advertising Case Study OMO: print advert

1)The advert was produced in 1955.

2)The 1950 advert represents women as domesticated people who are inferior to males in almost everyway (e.g strength and intelligence)

3)The message on the heading promotes the OMO product as they show a white background behind the message this reinforces the message "OMO makes whites bright!". The typography is sans serif and makes the words stand out as much as the background.

4)The clothes she is wearing is white and green which are very light also the lighting with it is also bright blue. The actors face is shocked at the fact that OMO actually does make laundry bright. Their is no make up for the actor. The props used in the OMO advert are laundry(e.g towels) lastly their is no setting it is just a blue background. The props and clothes show that the roles of women in that time were to be house wives.

5)The product is added to the bottom right corner because the audience need to know what it looks like or they will not be able to find it in the shops.

6)The colors in the OMO magazine connote happiness, energetic and joyful.

7)The anchorage text uses persuasive language to encourage the consumer to buy their products by giving extra information on the product and by exaggerating the positive qualities about the product to persuade the consumer to purchase the product.

8)The representation of women in this OMO advert is that they are all house wives and their only talents were to clean.

9)The preffered reading of the OMO advert is that, the OMO product is viable and is very useful as it helps women to clean better with the help of the product it makes everything easier and is a lot better than other cleaning detergents making it easier for the men a cleaner and better home.

10)The opposition reading of the OMO advert is that, the OMO product represents women as domesticated people who are treated as slaves to work for family/husband this is not right as women can do anything a man can do.

advertising introduction

1)The conventions in the NIKE air poster are the logo:The logo is called Nike air this might connote that the shoe itself is as light as air or it might be that it makes you as fast as the wind. The picture of product is in the centre of the poster the shoe itself is glowing a light on the side of it this makes the shoe look heavenly and is the shoe that stands out as it is perfect. The slogan: The slogan is "Nike-Air is not a shoe" this connotes that it is has become more than something you wear, you use it to play foot ball or run around showing that it has changed. The colour scheme is a bright white colour which is behind the shoe, this makes the shoe look better and brighter as it contrasts with the picture making it look pure. The red in the shoes makes it look energetic and fierce as the shoe is meant for running around.

2) The logo appeals to the audience because it known by majority of people so when people see the name NIKE they remember all their are other shoes and how most of them are good making them want to buy the newest one. The colour scheme appeals to the audience because it's vibrant and bright which appeals to young children and teenagers the most. The slogan attracts people as it makes the audience feel as if that its much more as it has more uses than a normal shoe.

3)The USP for the NIKE Air product is that the shoe has holes inside the shoe which allow it to bring air into the shoes so that its easier to walk or run and the air soles soles on the shoe reduce impact of the person jumping.

Reveal CSP case study

General

1)The types of people who read reveal are an mainstream type of people, they don't have a lot of money and are most likely a lower middle/working class citizens that read the Reveal magazine, they are most likely going to be between the age 20-30.

2)The editor introduces the magazine by showing the price tag, this draws in some people to come and buy the magazine as it is cheap compared to classy magazines.

3)The difference between reveal and tatler is that reveal's audience are not as rich as tatlers audience, tatler also focuses on fashion and accessories making it so that their audience wants to get this fashion and don't really care about the price. However reveal focuses on the celebrities and don't really focus on fashion, reveal also shows a lot of gossip and reveals drama going on in the celebrities lives. Tatler doesn't have any free offers but reveal does(tatler has sell lines instead.)

4)Reveal audiences are interested in the gossip of celebrities and they want to capture the stories going up in their lives, they like to see drama in the celebrities lives like relationship problems.

Media Language

1)Reveal has 10 magazine conventions out of the 12 conventions that are their.

2)The font used is a sans serif, this shows that reveal is a Modern type of magazine and looks at the new and old celebrities within their magazine.

3)The cover lines appeal to the audience by talking about what is happening in the celebrities lives and they show drama or upcoming events to do with the celebrity themselves. This draws them in as it is the one thing they are interested in when reading the magazine.

4)The color scheme, red yellow pink and blue, suggest that the magazine is energetic and everything is passionate with the magazine and all that it contains

5)The images on the front cover are made to interest the reader by spreading their pictures around the magazine using the rule of thirds. One reason this interests the reader is because if they use juxtaposition, like in the "Katie plots secret meetings with Pete" this makes it look a lot more appealing as it looks suspicious. another reason is that making them pose makes the celebrity more appealing to certain groups which in return makes people attracted to the magazine as they see a celebrity they like or know. The last reason is that their facial expression is usually always smiling and they look straight at the camera.

6)The difference between Tatler and reveal in typography and design is that Tatler uses a purple, black or white serif while reveal uses a white, yellow or blue sans serif, the effect of this is that Tatler uses a more glamorous and plain look and than leaves the rest to its image while reveal shows a more brighter look and has vibrant colours, this makes the audience a little more attracted to the magazine as it is brighter. another difference is that reveal has multiple photos while Tatler only has one image(the central image),the effect on the Tatler reader is that they focus on one thing the person and their fashion. The effect on Reveal is that they get to see more of what they want. The last difference is that Tatler's cover lines talk more about fashion and Reveal's cover lines talk about the celebrities lives. This makes sure both Tatler and Reveal readers get their interests, making them want to read the magazine even more.

Representations

1)The groups of people being represented in the Reveal magazine cover are the celebrities, mothers and relationships.

2)The types of celebrities that are being represented in the Reveal magazine are the celebrities who are in a relationship or having relationship problems.

3)The stereotypes being  reinforced are that every celebrity has to have a relationship with someone. Another stereotype being reinforced is that celebrities are usually rich this makes their life more different to our types of lives

4)Reveal wants the reader to have a aspiring point of view when it comes to the celebrities this is because if they look up to the celebrity than they will want to be like them and find out more about the drama or relationships in their life, this entices the reader as they will have to keep buying the magazine to find out more about all of the celebrities.

5)The preferred reading for the cover of Reveal is that celebrities are presented as glamorous and perfect. This is because of how they are always looked up to and they have all done something that makes them world known.

The oppositional reading for the cover of reveal is that celebrities are presented as people who always have to be in a relation ship and who always have drama going on in their lives. This is because in the magazine they only show the drama and relationships going on in the celebrities lives but they don't really show anything positive to do with them.

Social and historical context

1)Reveal doesn't focus on the normal people in Britain, they only show celebrities on their magazine as they only want to attract the people interested in the celebrities.

2)The cover lines suggest that the audience themselves have a boring or ordinary life style so they want to read someones elses life style as it is a lot more interesting compared to theirs. The issue with this is that the reveal readers are most likely to have self esteem issues.

3)One of the issues that appear in reveal is that men are put to the side compared to the women also they make the men generic and do the same things in most of the magazines they are in. One feature that appears in most of the magazines I have seen is relationship problems and celebrities insecurity.

4)Their are some celebrities who have been been on the front cover of Reveal, this is probably because of how they have a lot of drama in their lives or relationship problems making it more appealing to see another piece of drama from a particular person.

Tattler Case Study

General
1)The trailer shows that the people that produce and read  tatler are most likely rich/upper class white people, they are also obsessed with fashion.

2)The editor introduces Tattler by describing their target audience as the richest readers. They compliment the audience and say that they get inspired virtually and physically by their magazines.

3)one of the demographic details is the age, in the Tatler magazine it is mostly aimed at 30+ as it does not seem that younger audiences would find anything appealing towards their interests, another demographic detail is the gender, this is mainly for females as most of the people in their centre image are women. Their social class is probably B (Middle class) as the magazine has a rich feel and look but at the same time it isn't all glamorous. The average Tatler reader is a middle class 30 year old female who is above average when it comes to money.

4)Tatler readers think that fashion is amazing and they spend a lot of their money when it comes to the dresses and accessories, 81% of Tatler readers and 75% of Tatler.com users have designer shoes and accessories showing how much they love fashion, £843 million was spent on fashion in the past year.

5)The special editions that run across the year is the travel guide, weddings guide, beauty & cosmetic surgery guide,  spa guide, watches & jewellery guide, schools guide.

Media Language

6) 6 of the 12 conventions are seen in the Tatler magazine.

7)The font used in the magazine is a purple serif. This connotes that she herself is classy and traditional in the way she acts and the clothes she wears

8)The font for the cover lines is a bold sans serif

9)The cover lines appeal to the tatlers target audience by selling fashion and other accessories which their audience is obsessed with.

10)The colour scheme (purple) chosen for the magazine shows glamour and royalty which in itself goes with the chosen main image.

11)The props she is using in the magazine are a two strand pearl necklace, a choker necklace and eye liner, these would attract the fashion and accessory lovers as they will want to buy this for themselves. Another reason why the central image will create interest is because of the way she looks as certain people will find her attractive. (even though most of the audience is women some will be men) Lastly a reason why people will get interested because of the main image is that her facial expression and body position stands out which might attract people who are not looking for anything in particular.

Representation

12)The types of people represented in the magazine are above average/people with more money than most people and people obsessed with fashion, accessories or modeling.

13)The cover line shows that the life style of their audience is luxurious and they dont really need to bother about how expensive something is. also they live life lively by going many places (e.g. clubs)

14)One of the stereotypes that tatler is reinforcing is that rich people have to be in a couple, another is that they cant stop buying things as they do not need to worry about using to much of their own money.

15)The preferred reading for the tatler magazine is that rich females are glamorous and beautiful, this is because of how the woman is popular because of her modeling and using all of the accessories and fashion.

The oppositional reading is that the tatler magazine portrays rich females as obnoxious and arrogant, this is because in the magazine it shows the luxury's of having a lot of money but most of them think to much of themselves as they are a higher class compared to other people.

Social and Cultural context

16)One of the aspects that are not touched on by tatler is how in Britain the weather is bad and some of the stereotypes about how we are very posh.

17)Since tatler runs special issues, this shows that their representation of Britain is that most of us middle class citizens as we have enough money to plan for each of these, also they represent Britain as explorers/adventurous.

18)The group of people that would be offended by the April 2017 are the rich men and women as they themselves might not be depicted as the tatler magazine portrays them as, they might want a simple life and not all of latest accessories or latest fashion. Also the women would be a little bit more offended as the magazine might imply that you need this fashion or this look to be classified as rich.

19)Some of the regular problems for tatler's magazines is that they only show women since it is mainly targeted at the women audience, this means that their wont really be many male readers for the magazine. Another problem is that they only target the richer audience, making it so that the poorer audience doesn't really want to go for this type of magazine as they can get cheaper magazines with more things they are interested in.

Representation

characters:sam-noel Clarke, jay-Adam Deacon, Trevor-Aml Ameen,Alisa-Red Madrell, moony- Femi Oryenian

One of the many stereotypes shown is that all of them look like gangstas people and the black people are wearing hoodies, another is that all young people more dangerous.

In kidulthood the characters in the poster are presented as dangerous, aggressive and violent. This is seen as true because of the way they are positioned and how they are carrying violent weapons like bats and how they all look rebellious and as shown by how their are on the edge of the building it might mean that their life style is dangerous and how they live life on the edge.

In kidulthood the characters in the posters are mediated as dangerous, aggressive and violent however teens in reality aren't always like this, in fact their are more adults who act like this compared to teens. The characters themselves are conventional since the producers portray them this way in which we usually expect them to be at first glance.

movie marketing

Civil War
I have chosen this films because of how the story is about a disagreement between 2 people which has been built up for this moment..

1)The movies producer is Marvel Entertainment
2) The distributor for this is Walt Disney Motion Pictures

My chosen film fits into is action and adventure.

I know it fits into these genres because of how they all fight in certain places and at times they visit different places. For an example when winter soldier is getting chased down by black panther and then his motor cycle's wheel gets hit. captain america earliest trailer this is the earliest trailer i could find for captain america civil war.
Their have been reports on the movie on a newspaper and teaser trailers.

The tomato meter for the movie was 91%
"well their are a great number of people that see you as heroes, their are some who use the word vigilante."
"If we cant set limitations then we are no better than the bad guys"
"you know whats gonna happen, so does this have to end in a fight."

The budget for this movie was 250 million USD, it made 180 million on the opening weekend.
In total the movie made 1 billion. The movie was definitely a success

The previous movie was Avengers age of ultron, it is very similar to civil war as it also includes conflict and action. Chris Evans has appeared in the Snowpiercer. The stars and the director have not been mentioned in the movie itself.

Kidulthood
I chose this movie as it has an interesting story line and shows the harsh parts of life and the difficultys that others have to deal with.
Kidulthoods production company was Stealth Films. Their distrubuter was Revolver Entertainment

The genre the movie fits into crime, drama and romance. Menhaj Huda is the person directed this movie, he isnt particularly known for crime but he has done very good in drama.

It was released in the 3rd of March 2006. KidultHood earliest trailer. The audience rated the movie a 77%. The main type of marketing used was trailers.
"its morning sickness, but its not morning" "my point is that it becomes a vicious circle." "ive seen a lot today that made me think about life"

The budget was 600,000 GBP. the box office was £1,530,876, this shows it is definitely a success.

The main star is Trife:Aml Ameen. He has stared in Maze Runner which is a movie that he is particularly famous for as well. Maze Runner does have many similarity's to kidulthood other than the fact that they both have action at certain scenes

The stars nor the director are mentioned in the film
