Representation

characters:sam-noel Clarke, jay-Adam Deacon, Trevor-Aml Ameen,Alisa-Red Madrell, moony- Femi Oryenian

One of the many stereotypes shown is that all of them look like gangstas people and the black people are wearing hoodies, another is that all young people more dangerous.

In kidulthood the characters in the poster are presented as dangerous, aggressive and violent. This is seen as true because of the way they are positioned and how they are carrying violent weapons like bats and how they all look rebellious and as shown by how their are on the edge of the building it might mean that their life style is dangerous and how they live life on the edge.

In kidulthood the characters in the posters are mediated as dangerous, aggressive and violent however teens in reality aren't always like this, in fact their are more adults who act like this compared to teens. The characters themselves are conventional since the producers portray them this way in which we usually expect them to be at first glance.

movie marketing

Civil War
I have chosen this films because of how the story is about a disagreement between 2 people which has been built up for this moment..

1)The movies producer is Marvel Entertainment
2) The distributor for this is Walt Disney Motion Pictures

My chosen film fits into is action and adventure.

I know it fits into these genres because of how they all fight in certain places and at times they visit different places. For an example when winter soldier is getting chased down by black panther and then his motor cycle's wheel gets hit. captain america earliest trailer this is the earliest trailer i could find for captain america civil war.
Their have been reports on the movie on a newspaper and teaser trailers.

The tomato meter for the movie was 91%
"well their are a great number of people that see you as heroes, their are some who use the word vigilante."
"If we cant set limitations then we are no better than the bad guys"
"you know whats gonna happen, so does this have to end in a fight."

The budget for this movie was 250 million USD, it made 180 million on the opening weekend.
In total the movie made 1 billion. The movie was definitely a success

The previous movie was Avengers age of ultron, it is very similar to civil war as it also includes conflict and action. Chris Evans has appeared in the Snowpiercer. The stars and the director have not been mentioned in the movie itself.

Kidulthood
I chose this movie as it has an interesting story line and shows the harsh parts of life and the difficultys that others have to deal with.
Kidulthoods production company was Stealth Films. Their distrubuter was Revolver Entertainment

The genre the movie fits into crime, drama and romance. Menhaj Huda is the person directed this movie, he isnt particularly known for crime but he has done very good in drama.

It was released in the 3rd of March 2006. KidultHood earliest trailer. The audience rated the movie a 77%. The main type of marketing used was trailers.
"its morning sickness, but its not morning" "my point is that it becomes a vicious circle." "ive seen a lot today that made me think about life"

The budget was 600,000 GBP. the box office was £1,530,876, this shows it is definitely a success.

The main star is Trife:Aml Ameen. He has stared in Maze Runner which is a movie that he is particularly famous for as well. Maze Runner does have many similarity's to kidulthood other than the fact that they both have action at certain scenes

The stars nor the director are mentioned in the film

Ownership and Control

1) The reason FaceBook bought Instagram for $1 billion was to prove that FaceBook is able to multi task since they can build multiple products simultaneously.

2)One of the benefits for the media companies of vertical integration is that it allows the company to make a lot more money since they have complete ownership over any other stage of production.

3) One of the benefits for media companies of horizontal integration is that they get rid of the competition and they also make money from both of them.

4)A subsidiary is a smaller company.

5)One company that uses synergy to gain more profits is Walt Disney. They do this in Disney world merchandising, events, etc.
Another one is Netflix

6) 10 companies that are part of the Disney media empire. Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Dreamworks II, Vice land, ESPN, ABC entertainment, A&E networks, New vacation operations and DCPI content.

7)Walt Disney has been focused on streaming services and with Fox it makes it a lot easier to make more money. this also helps beef up the distribution.

(2)-You included some subject terminology to support your answer- to gain more marks include more, for an example below the line bedroom bands; citizen journalism in news
(3)-also including your opinion view on the topic including a conclusion

1) 1/1.
2) 1/1.
3) 4/8. I didn't get full marks because I did not understand the how to write a opposional reading
4)14/20. I didn't get fulls marks because i didn't give a conclusion on how much the internet has nor did I give any disadvantages of the industrys and how it can all backfire.

I need to revise the following media terminology, below the line, bedroom bands, citizen journalism

I did not successful right about Stuart Halls theory of the 3 different readings since i didn't understand the oppositional reading. Some of the answers did match in mark scheme.

In figure 3 it shows a woman in a wartime, this shows that the women are capable of helping in the defence industry and they are just as capable as men are. This also shows that women are strong independent and resilient this is because of the way her arm is positioned to suggest shes flexing also the text "we can do it" shows they are determined to not quit.

In figure 3 the women are presented as unfeminine and more masculine this would insult women as they being shown that they have to be masculine to be shown as strong or even independent, also this might intimidate the audience, this also shows that women would have to take a muscular physique just to get a job which would do the opposite for the women.
